Yr 6 had a great day on World Book Day, which was celebrated across the school. All the children looked fantastic in their costumes and lots of reading and writing happened across the morning. The children were ‘thrown into’ the world of Alice in Wonderland and the adventures she had throughout the book. Some creative writing was achieved across the day where the children were able to write independently from any character and in a format of their choice.
In the afternoon, the children enjoyed a Mad Hatters tea party. The children made jam tarts and sandwiches as part of a mini DT project and enjoyed their finished products as part of the tea party.
A great day had by all!
